Using just Modern Warfare 2 is merely the shorthand form of the game's name. I’ve made a total of 0 changes to my pc setting since the last time the game worked and now, so I’m a bit. Sometimes the client will even update after a few minutes to say the game is running, but a quick look at the task manager reveals this to be obviously false.
As of yesterday, when I click the big blue PLAY button for MW, the client says “Launching”, and then nothing happens.The problem is that because CoD4 and its successors have been so successful, they've set a direction for the wider industry that has just become deeply boring. Modern Warfare 2 was CoD4 without the freshness and the just-about-plausible plot.
